Fire Engulfs Nanchang Hotel in China, at least 3 Killed and 14 Injured

  • A huge fire engulfed HNA Platinum Mix Hotel, a luxury hotel in Nanchang (capital of China's Jiangxi Province) on Saturday morning at about 8am local time, killing at least 3 people and injuring 14. Billowing dark smoke from multiple storeys of the hotel can be seen in a dramatic video footage posted online. Local media says the fire broke out on second floor, where decoration work was going on. Latest reports say, fire has been extinguished and search is taking place to bring out trapped people inside the building. The Nanchang hotel is now surrounded by ambulances and fire fighting engines. Victims are now being brought out of the building on stretcher for medical support.
