Fire at Paris museum, two firefighters injured

  • Aug 20, 2015 - Two firefighters were injured battling fire that broke out in an under-construction section of the main science museum in the French capital of Paris. Media reports quoted city fire service spokesman Gabriel Plus as saying that a blaze broke out overnight in a part of the Cite des Sciences, which is located in northeast Paris. The blaze, which raged for several hours, was brought under control by midmorning by more than 100 firefighters. The museum will remain closed on Thursday so that firefighters can monitor other fire risks.
