Family of detained American apologizes to North Korea

It has been reported that the family of a US national detained in North Korea has asked for him to be released, and apologized to the Asian country.
Jeffrey Edward Fowle is one among the three Americans being detained in North Korea. The reasons for his detention are not entirely clear.
During a news conference the Fowle family issued a statement saying: “The family would like to express its heartfelt apology to the people and the government of the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea).”
