Families of missing flight victims see money
June 14 , 2014
The families of the missing passengers of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 still haven't received any answers but are now seeing money. Reports suggest that the families have been given $50k so far and the Wall Street Journal reports that the payments are "interim compensation."
According to international rules, families can ask for up to $175k per passenger and an official mentioned that full payment will be determined when "the issue on the tragedy" is announced as over.
Media notes that final amounts are usually determined after the cause and location of the accident is found.
