Explosion near interior minister's convoy in Egypt

A car bomb targeting the interior minister of Egypt exploded in Cairo on Thursday.
Mohammed Ibrahim, the interior minister was unharmed but four security personnel were injured. One policeman had a leg amputated due to his injuries but no one died in the blast.
Security agencies are now investigating the blast that took place at about 10:20 am when the minister's convoy passed in Nasr City on Mostafa El Nahas Street.
It is not yet known as to who was responsible for the attack but a security source said the bomb had been remotely detonated.
The ministry had installed an interim administration after Cairo started witnessing unrest due to former President Mohamed Mori being ousted.
Hundreds of people died in Egypt last month.
