Execution survivor in Iran might not be hanged again
October 24 , 2013
The drug smuggler who survived the capital punishment in Iran this month might not be hanged once again since the justice minister of the country said there's "no need" to do so.
The criminal was pronounced dead by a doctor after being hanged for 12 minutes but people at the morgue discovered he was alive the next day.
Although, the courts will take the final decision, the justice minister said hanging him twice would spoil Iran's image.
Reports suggest that the 37-year-old drug smuggler and father of two children fell into coma yesterday.
