Ex-Warlord dies at 57

Afghan vice president Field Marshal Mohammad Qaisim Fahim died at the age of 57. President Hamid Farzai's people stated that the death occurred due to an illness and Karzai referred to him as being a true patriot. He said the death was a big loss for the country.
Fahim was a vice president and defense minster but was known more for being a former warlord who fought for the country when the Soviets occupied it.
Presidential candidate Hedayat Amin Arsala mentioned that the death would have an affect on the future of politics but didn't elaborate on this point.
