European Commission President Clarifies their Stand on Brexit

  • Jean-Claude Juncker, European Commission President, said in an interview that they are not trying to “keep the United Kingdom in the EU”. He rejected the insinuation by some claiming that the European Union wants to hold the UK by all means possible. Jean-Claude Juncker went on to say that they “respect the result of the referendum” and only want more clarity about EU’s relation with that of UK. He also hinted that Britain is still not clear what it really wants. Juncker asked the UK to get its act together and then ask European Union of what they really want. When asked about the possibility of a second Brexit vote he said that it’s up to the British to decide.
