Erdogan slams EU criticism over media arrests
December 16 , 2014
Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has hit out at the EU for criticizing the mass arrests of journalists. He said the EU should “mind its own business and keep its own opinions to itself.”
At least 24 journalists were detained for conspiring to seize power.
The arrested mediapersons from Zaman newspaper and Samanyolu TV channel are said to have links with Fethullah Gulen, a cleric living in self-exile in the US.
