January 4 , 2013
At least 11 people have been killed after a car bomb exploded at a gas station in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Thursday.
The bomb reportedly hit the Barzeh al-Balad district as people were queuing for fuel.
The attack comes a day after some 70 people were killed in an air strike on a gas station in the south of the city.
Syria is currently facing chronic fuel shortages forcing motorists to queue for hours at gas stations.
According to a United Nations report released on Wednesday, more than 60,000 people have been killed since the uprising in Syria began in March 2011.
