Egypt to build new capital to ease overpopulatioon in Cairo

The government of Egypt has announced its plan to building a new capital. According to media reports, the new capital would be located to the east of Cairo, the present capital. Mostafa Madbouly, the Housing Minister of Egypt said that the project would cost around $45bn. It is estimated to be completed in five to seven years and would largely help in easing congestion and overpopulation in Cairo. The name of the new capital has not been announced yet but it is believed that it will be about the size of Singapore.
