Egypt prepares for worst ahead of Sunday protest

  • The streets are once again filled with protesters ready to cast out the president and the Islamists are firm to keep him in power. The Egyptians are getting ready for the worst as days or even weeks of urban anarchy could turn neighborhoods into battlegrounds.

Households are already weighed down by power cuts, lack of fuel and increasing prices. They are stocking up goods lest the protests drag on. Businesses which are near the protest spots are closing down till the protest subside.  Fences and barricades are mounting near homes and important buildings.
