March 15 , 2015
Egypt is planning to build a completely new glitzy capital if the government can go its way. Egypt has plans to build this city as one of the most ambitious infrastructure programs in the world; and hence has teamed up with a developer of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to build it. The government has announced that the city will be spread in an area of more than 150 square miles and will home about seven million people. The total cost of construction has been estimated at 45 billion US dollars. The exact location for this new capital is not yet announced and is expected to be closer to the Red Sea.
