February 23 , 2015
Scores of supporters of Egypt’s banned Muslim Brotherhood have been charged with forming a militant group.
Egypt’s chief prosecutor accused the Helwan Brigades group of killing six police officers and being in possession of arms and ammunition.
Of the 215 people charged, a majority of them are already in police custody, media reports said.
Thousands of people affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood have been arrested since 2013 in a massive crackdown against the group.
