Ebola: Scottish nurse 'in serious condition', readmitted
October 10 , 2015
Pauline Cafferkey, a Scottish nurse who had contracted Ebola in West Africa last year, was readmitted to a hospital in London and is said to be in a “serious condition”.
Authorities confirmed that the virus was still present in her body. Cafferkey, 39, was flown back to the isolation unit of London’s Royal Free Hospital.
The Ebola virus can stay in the body months after the patient has seemingly made a full recovery, experts say.
