Ebola risk for Americans 'extremely low': Obama

  • Seeking to reassure Americans after a second US nurse tested positive for Ebola, President Barack Obama has said the risk of Americans contracting the deadly virus was “extremely low,” according to media reports.

The second nurse was also a part of the medical team that treated Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian who died of Ebola in Dallas after arriving in the US from west Africa.

The disease, which has no known cure or vaccine, has killed more than 4,500 people in west Africa this year.
