Ebola: New York's JFK airport will screen travelers from west Africa

  • New York’s JFK airport will start screening passengers arriving from Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea to check the spread of Ebola.

The three countries are the worst hit by the disease that has killed over 4,000 people this year.

Teams carrying thermal guns will take temperatures of travelers from west Africa and quiz them regarding possible exposure to the Ebola virus.

O’Hare, Newark, Dulles and Atlanta’s airport will also start screening travelers from the west African countries soon.
