Ebola death toll in West Africa has crossed 1,900: WHO
September 4 , 2014
The Ebola death toll in West Africa has crossed 1900, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said.
Margaret Chan, the head of WHO, said there were at least 3,500 probable or confirmed cases of the deadly disease in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. She said new cases were “racing ahead” of attempts to control them in these nations.
She said even experts with decades of experience in dealing with Ebola had not seen anything as severe and complex as this outbreak.
