Earthquake Rocks Manila

A powerful earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale shook Manila in the northern Philippines on April 22, at 0911 GMT, as per reports from the US Geological Survey. A few buildings collapsed, and rescue operations were hampered by power outage. Some bodies were pulled out from the debris, but many are still feared trapped. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, though even Clark airport near Manila is believed to be affected.
