Dozens killed in airstrikes near Damascus
January 24 , 2015
At least 30 people, including children, were killed in airstrikes carried out by the Syrian regime, close to the capital Damascus, media reports said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an activist group based in the UK that monitors the Syrian conflict, said six children were among the dead after multiple air attacks by Syrian jets on Hamouriyeh, a suburb of the capital.
Witnesses were quoted as saying that a busy market was hit.
The Bashar al-Assad government has not commented on the incident.
