Don't blame us for failed launch, says Russian rocket manufacturer
October 30 , 2014
Kuznetsov company, the Russian manufacturer of the engine used in the rocket that exploded seconds after launch in eastern Virginia, said it was not to blame for the failure, according to media reports.
The Antares rocket relied on two engines, which were originally made for an unsuccessful Soviet moon mission and later upgraded for American space flights.
Kuznetsov said its engines were not faulty, but the blame lay on the modification done later in the US.
