May 21 , 2016
In continuation to brutal attacks on secular activists and minorities, a homeopathic doctor was hacked to death and another professor was seriously wounded by the Islamic State militants on Saturday. Sanaur Rahman and professor Saifuzzaman were riding home while they were intercepted by assailants in Kushita town in Bangladesh. Both were attacked by four men bearing machete. The attack was similar to the ones made on bloggers and activists. In recent weeks, there have been systematic attacks on intellectuals, religious minorities and secular bloggers in Bangladesh.
