Divers save choking shark in Australia

Australian divers got close to a choking shark last week and the rescue was caught on tape.
Reports suggest that the female shark had an elastic band wrapped around herself, which acted like a noose and was slowing killing her. A vet team wrestled the animal and brought her back to the surface.
"When you're dealing with a wild animal like this anything can happen," a SeaLife sanctuary worker said. "Their teeth are always on display and they are very sharp." The shark was given a shot of antibiotic and should be fully recovered within a month. "If we hadn't intervened, I have no doubt it would have died, the elastic would have kept cutting deeper and deeper into the neck," the vet said.
