Dilma Rousseff: PP announces plans to quit coalition

  • In a further blow to Brazil President Dilma Rousseff’s bid to ward off impeachment, another coalition partner of the government has announced its plans to quit. According to media reports, the Progressive Party, which is the fourth largest party in the 513-seater lower house, has said that a majority of its 47 MPs would vote for the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff.
