Dilma Rousseff calls on Brazilian society to help combat Zika virus

Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil, has urged the people of the country to help contain the spread of Zika Virus. The virus has been linked to birth defects. Media reports quoted the president as saying that national mobilization was need to destroy the mosquitoes responsible for the virus. She also urged the union and community groups to help contain the virus. Zika virus is believed to cause microcephaly, a form of infant brain damage.
