A new report has said that women in Britain are being hit hardest by the new wave of dementia.
Dementia has become the leading cause of death among UK women, and they are much more likely than men to become care-givers for sufferers, which brings with it emotional and physical stress and loss of jobs, the report by the Alzheimer’s Research UK shows.
The study reveals that the condition affects over 500,000 women in the UK, compared to 350,000 men.
