Delhi heads for fresh polls
November 4 , 2014
Delhi is heading for fresh assembly polls after all the key political parties expressed their inability to form a government, according to media reports.
After Arvind Kejriwal , the last chief minister of India’s capital, resigned in February, Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung and the federal administration have been in charge of the state.
In the current assembly, the BJP was the largest party, but lacked a majority. Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) formed the government with Congress support. But the AAP leader quit after his anti-corruption bill could not be passed.
