Deadliest Terrorist Attack in Egypt, At least 235 Dead and 109 Wounded
November 25 , 2017
Militants have carried out the reportedly deadliest terrorist attack in the modern history of Egypt by detonating a bomb in Sinai Peninsula’s crowded mosque during Friday prayers. Available reports say over 235 people are dead and atleast 109 others are injured. The toll increased as militants sprayed gunfire on the panicked crowd after the deadly explosion. This terror attack has brought into two new elements of terrorism in Egypt. This is the first time a Muslim mosque is targeted for terror attack (earlier attacks were on Christian churches) and more importantly most of the victims were from the mystic Sufi Muslim sect (whom the ISIS and other Sunni terrorist organizations regard heretic). President of Egypt Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has vowed to respond to such attack with “utmost force”.
