Danes vote No in adopting EU rules
December 4 , 2015
In a referendum, Denmark has rejected a government proposal to adopt EU rules on cross-border policing. As per media reports, the referendum could have deepened Denmark’s participation in EU’s justice cooperation. With the votes now counted, 53 percent said No to the proposal, while 47 percent said Yes. The center-right government of the country wanted to do away with some Danish opt-outs from EU home affairs legislation.
