Czech opposition ready to call no confidence vote
June 15 , 2013
The Czech centre-left opposition, the Social Democrats, will call for a vote of no confidence unless and until the Prime Minister Petr Necas resigns following an extensive police sweep of government offices and detentions of some of PM’s associates, said the opposition party.
"The Social Democrats expect the speedy resignation of PM Petr Necas and the entire government. If that doesn’t happen, the Social Democrats will initiate a vote of no confidence," said party official Jeronym Tejc.
He also said that the party would seek out for an agreement with the other parties to dissolve parliament and then hold an early election.
