Cyclone kills 24 in Bangladesh

With a wind speed of 88 kilometers per hour, Cyclone Roanu has killed 24 and injured over 100 people in Bangladesh. The cyclone has hit the Barisal- Chittagong region with an impact felt almost across the country. The southern coast of Bangladesh was battered by the cyclone leaving a trail of destruction. The tropical cyclone, which had developed in the Bay of Bengal, led to gusty and squally wind before making a landfall yesterday. In terms of infrastructural and other damages, Chittagong district has suffered the maximum.
