Croatia will not become 'migrant hotspot', says prime minister
September 19 , 2015
Croatia’s prime minister Zoran Milanović has said that his country can no longer cope with the influx of thousands of migrants and refugees, adding that it would direct new arrivals to move on rather than register and accommodate them.
Since Wednesday over 13,000 people have entered into Croatia from Serbia after Hungary closed its Serbian border.
Pleading helplessness, Milanović said Croatia "will not become a migrant hotspot”.
At least 19 buses carrying refugees were sent by Croatian authorities to Hungary following the prime minister's statements.
