'Core coalition' will tackle ISIS threat, says Obama
September 6 , 2014
A “core coalition” of countries led by the US and including Britain, France and Turkey will tackle the threat posed by the Isis militant group in Iraq and Syria, Barack Obama has said.
The US president, who was speaking at the Nato summit, said the group of 10 countries was ready to “confront this terrorist threat” using all means including military, intelligence and diplomatic.
John Kerry, the US secretary of state, will be going to the Middle East to rally further support for a military commitment against ISIS.
