CIA director orders major overhaul of spy agency
March 7 , 2015
John Brennan, the director of the CIA, has ordered sweeping changes to the US spy agency.
The overhaul was driven by the effect of technological advancements and a widening range of threats, he said in a memo to agency staff.
The aim of the changes is to enforce greater managerial accountability in the CIA and improve upon cyber capabilities.
The division between the agency's analysts and operators will cease to exist, and the two will work together in “mission centers” headed by assistant directors.
