Chlorine gas used by Syrian regime, investigators say
January 7 , 2015
Syria used deadly chlorine gas to attack three villages in the country last year, according to investigators.
The attacks affected up to 500 people and killed 13, the report which has been accessed by The Associated Press, says.
The investigators of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons had a “high degree of confidence” that the gas was used as a weapon.
Though the report does not apportion blame, it says 26 people had heard the “whistling” sound peculiar to bombs that contain such toxic chemicals.
