Chinese Government legalizes the use of endangered tiger and rhino products

China's State Council has legalized the use of endangered rhino and tiger products for medical purposes only. The news has not been well-received by the wildlife activists as according to them this decision will be a setback to their efforts of protection of endangered animals. According to the statement, powdered form of rhino horns and bones of dead tigers can be used only in qualified hospitals which are recognized by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
