China Launches its First Cargo Spacecraft

  • As per reports, China launched its first cargo spacecraft on Thursday. It was a crucial step to have a permanently manned space station by 2022.

    The Tianzhou-1 cargo resupply spacecraft lifted off on a Long March-7 Y2 rocket from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Centre located in Hainan.

    The administrators at ground control declared the mission a success.

    It is expected that the cargo spacecraft will dock in two days with the Tiangong 2 space laboratory.
