China, India hold talks on border dispute
March 23 , 2015
Chinese and Indian officials are holding talks in Delhi with the aim of resolving the long-standing border dispute between the two Asian neighbors.
These are the first such discussions since the Narendra Modi government came to power in 2014.
Yang Jiechi, China’s special representative, is holding talks with India's national security advisor Ajit Doval.
The discussions are being seen by some commentators as clearing the way for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's fruitful visit to China in May.
