China has Imposed Temporary Ban on Wildlife Consumption

  • China is imposing a strict ban on the consumption and farming of wild animals after the deadly outbreak of Coronavirus. Although, it is yet to be established which animal transferred the virus to humans such as pangolin, snake, or bat among others being considered. However, China is curbing the well-paying wildlife meat industry to prevent another epidemic. It has already slapped an interim ban on all farming and consumption and is expected to come into being in full force this year. Public health experts say it is an important step taken by the government.
