November 22 , 2015
At least 21 people have been killed in a fire at a coal mine at Heilongjiang province in north-eastern China, reports say.
The fire broke out at a mine run by the government-owned Heilongjiang Longmay Mining Holding Group in Jixi city, not far from the Russian border.
The bodies of 21 miners have been recovered. About 15 workers managed to escape the inferno.
Coal mine accidents are common in China and claimed more than 900 lives last year.
