Prosecutors in China have filed charges against Peter Humphrey, a British national and his American wife Yu Ying Zeng in a case linked to bribery.
The couple, who were arrested in 2013, are charged with obtaining private information illegally, according to the state media.
GlaxoSmithKline China, which had hired Humphrey's firm, ChinaWhys, has been linked to a controversy over claims of bribing doctors. Prosecutors say the husband and wife “illegally trafficked a huge amount of personal information on Chinese citizens,” media reports said.
