The leaders of Catalonia are planning to bring a legal challenge. This is being done to prevent the government of Spain from taking control of Catalonia and stopping the region's independence movement. Media reports quoted Jordi Turull, a regional government spokesman, as saying that they would lodge appeals in the constitutional and Supreme courts of Spain against the decision of Mariano Rajoy, Prime Minister of Spain, to sack the government of Catalonia.
