Car Rams into Peaceful Charlottesville Rally, 1 Killed and 19 Injured

  • Superintendent of Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, Col Martin Kumer, told media that police has arrested 20-year-old James Fields of Ohio on Saturday and charged him with murder after he rammed his car in a group of protesters who were protesting against a white supremacist "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville. Reports say that a 32 year woman was killed and 19 people were injured in the incident. U.S. Attorney Rick Mountcastle, in support of Department of Justice, is carrying out a probe on the incident. Attorney General Jeff Sessions condemned the attack, especially when it arose “from racial bigotry and hatred”. He assured that “Justice will prevail”.
