Canada Celebrates 150th Anniversary of Confederation in Jubilant Mood

Canada celebrated its 150th anniversary of confederation throughout the country with thousands thronging the streets. The grandeur celebration of Canada Day at Ottawa’s Parliament Hill was led by it suave Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The biggest bash was joined by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla. Mi’kmaq community held a celebratory pow wow as a gratitude for preserving their language as well as culture. On Saturday morning, in a special ceremony at Pier 21’s Canadian Museum of Immigration in Halifax, 53 people from 21 different countries were given Canadian citizenship to mark inclusiveness of the Canadian society. The anniversary celebration also witnessed protests by indigenous protesters and heavy rainfall.
