Cameron compares 'appeasement of Putin' to pre-World War 2 events
September 3 , 2014
David Cameron has reportedly said that by appeasing Vladimir Putin, western countries could be running the risk of making mistakes similar to the ones made by France and Britain in dealing with Adolf Hitler before World War 2.
The British prime minister is said to have made the remarks to leaders from European nations during a confidential discussion.
Hitler’s invasion of Poland in 1939 was the trigger for the war.
Cameron reportedly said that Putin, Russia's president, cannot be allowed to grab all of Ukraine.
