Cambodia is Putting an End to Elephant Rides

Cambodia is banning elephant rides from the main tourist attractions in the country, started from November 15. As per the Ministry of Tourism, Angkor archeological complex in Siem Reap attracts most of the foreign tourists which crossed six million in 2018. And elephant rides are widely opted in this specific tourist attraction. An Apsara Authority official confirms that this practice will be completely stopped at the starting of 2020. "Using elephants for business is not appropriate anymore" further said Long Kosal.
