Burkina Faso: stakeholders reach agreement on transitional government
November 14 , 2014
Burkina Faso’s leaders have agreed on a framework that will lead to the formation of a transitional government.
This followed talks between leaders from the military and political parties as well as members of civil society.
The transitional government is expected to pave the way for civilian rule and elections next year.
The army has been effectively in charge after Burkina Faso president Blaise Compaore was forced to quit following mass protests.
