Burkina Faso: People launch campaign for the release of Australian couple
January 17 , 2016
People in Burkina Faso have launched a campaign for the release of an Australian couple. As per media reports, an Australian doctor and his wife, who are in their 80s, were abducted the same day as the attack on a hotel in the capital. Since the 70, the couple, Ken and Jocelyn Elliott, built up medical facilities in Djibo town. The people have started a Facebook page and have been posting messages of support for the couple. However, it is not clear if the kidnapping of the couple is related to the attacks in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso.
