British tourists' death: Burmese men confess to killings, say Thai police

  • Two Burmese men have confessed to the murder of British tourists Hannah Witheridge and David Miller on Koh Tao island, the Thai police have said.

The half-naked bodies of the two Britons were found on September 15 on a beach at the popular tourist resort in Thailand.

The police said the suspects, who are in custody since October 1, had also admitted to raping Witheridge. The deaths have shaken up this small island, where violent crimes are rare.
