British teacher held by Libyan militants freed

  • A British teacher being held hostage by Libyan militants has been freed.

David Bolam, who was employed at Benghazi’s International school, had been abducted earlier this year, reports said.

A British foreign office spokesperson said Bolam “has been reunited with his family” after his ordeal.

The hostage may have been released after a ransom was paid, reports said, but details of the ransom were not clear. Bolam’s family have requested for privacy.
